What is a

Dyslexia Advocate?

As a trained Dyslexia Advocate I am versed in the common characteristics of dyslexia, best practices for working with students with dyslexia, and most importantly: the IEP process. An advocate does just that, advocate for your student to get the best possible support. With years as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and parent, I am in the unique position to work in a respectful, team-orientated way with all stakeholders to create IEP goals that best support your child.

An IEP should be just that: individual to your child! The school and parents are a team to discover how to best suit the needs of your individual child.
